Nick Livesey’s Photographing The Snowdonia Mountains is at the printers and should be back the second week of December, in plenty of time for delivery by Christmas.
This is fotoVUE’s tenth photo-location guidebook, and it is a little different. First it’s landscape format and when opened a double page is nearly 50cm across, or nearly 20 inches, which means the images are LARGE!
But what is it?
It’s a hill walking guidebook, a photo-location guidebook, a safety in the hills manual, part biography, and is illustrated with over 300 stunning photographs. It’s a source of inspiration, motivation, entertainment and of course great knowledge with which to plan your own mountain experiences. It’s bloody good mountain image eye-candy, that’s for sure.

In its 288-pages fifteen of the best mountain walks for photography in Snowdonia are described: from Snowdon to the Glyders, from the Nantlle Ridge to Rhinog Fawr and the Celtic Badlands, along with shorter walks and roadside locations for the best mountain images if you don’t want to walk far.
But what about Nick? Who is he? Well first congratulations are in order as Nick has just passed his Mountain Leader assessment, so on top of his extensive mountain experience Nick is now qualified Mountain Leader. But how did he get to the place is, what led him to a mountain life? Rob Johnson of FilmUpHigh has produced this lovely short film which explains those questions.
