We are pleased to announce Photographing The Dolomites by James Rushforth, signed pre-orders our now available at our shop and the title will be published in September.

The Dolomites, located in northern Italy, are widely regarded as the most photogenic mountain range on the planet. The areas tall limestone spires and towers are surrounded by high alpine meadows and pastures rich with flowers, all accessed by panoramic paths and high mountain passes. Fast flowing streams cascade down to medieval villages and churches in the valleys.

The author and photographer is James Rushforth (website) who has spent the last decade exploring the Dolomites and is the author of three Dolomite climbing and skiing guidebooks.

52 locations are described illustrated with over 450 photographs and this photo-location guidebook runs to 352 pages. You don’t have to be a climber or a mountaineer to enjoy one of the best mountain ranges in the world. High roads, cable cars and well-maintained paths lead you right into the heart of the mountains, and James has detailed locations for the less mobile and wheelchair-users.

Photographing The Dolomites is also a visitor guidebook that includes information on travel to the area, where to stay, how to get about, and where to eat and drink. Technique sections describe how James creates his beautiful astro-photographs.

RRP is £25.00, but until publication you can order signed copies with free shipping in the UK for £20 at our SHOP
